While waiting for parts etc, took a second to do a test run of some wireless multi-player Doom.
Here are pictures of the PCB for the 16MB module. I will attempt to duplicate this in Altium. PCB Thickness is 0.6mm and is 4 layer on initial inspection.
The 16MB Memory module for the PC110 is not easy to come by these days. The PCB is fairly simple and the memory chips should be salvagable from other more standard memory modules of the era so I contemplated doing a small production run of them so I could have a couple and I would have some to share, or others could produce their own.
So far I have been unable to find a source for the connector aside from removing them from 4MB modules.
Some Incorrect Connectors:
Some quick reference material for sourcing/salvaging chips for this effort:
Here is a look inside the dock / port replicator. Just looking around to see what is in there. As expected nothing too interesting.
The one thing I was interested to see/confirm was what the pin with the repair jumper wire connected to. It was pin#13 on J4 inside of the dock which I believe is considered pin88 on the overall connector. It connects GND, and jumps over to D2 dual diode package.
